What You'll Do:
The Senior Accountant assists in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation. This position is responsible for recording complex journal entry transactions, supporting the financial close, analyzing variances against budget, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. They perform complex, detailed, and disciplined work using standard methodologies in analysis, documentation, implementation and support of accounting and finance procedures. The Senior Accountant is detail oriented, analytical, organized, self-sufficient, and has excellent communication skills.
- Review monthly financial results compared to budget and provide variance analytics.
- Manage the monthly market billing process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, review, and distribution of invoices in accordance with contractual agreements and funding requirements.
- Monitor and maintain accounts receivable balances, including collection activities, customer follow-up, aging analysis, and resolution of billing discrepancies to support timely cash collections.
- Prepare, maintain, and support grant-related financial reporting and documentation, ensuring compliance with grant agreements, funding requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison for government agencies and funding partners, responding to financial inquiries, coordinating reporting requests, and fostering strong working relationships with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operational and government partner teams to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, grant compliance, and timely resolution of financial matters impacting market operations.
- Prepares complex journal entries with supporting documentation as assigned.
- Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Department to ensure monthly revenue is accounted for correctly and maintain A/R reconciliations.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet reconciliations in line with best practice and internal controls.
- Conducts all necessary analysis and research to facilitate month-end close.
- Provides information and assistance to facilitate the completion of annual financial statement audits.
- Maintains systems and controls that verify the integrity and accuracy of all financial systems, processes, and data.
- Develops, establishes, and maintains a work priority system to ensure daily and heavy workloads are fulfilled.
- Is a resource to Staff Accountant for complex issues.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all employee and financial information.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3 years of related work experience
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and general ledger systems

It would be great if you had:
- CPA
- 5 years of experience
- Experience with NetSuite
- Healthcare finance experience
