Job Description

The Retail Merchandising Planner & Allocator is responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimizing product assortment strategies (PVM: Price Volume Mix). Operating through a top-down approach aligned with corporate turnover targets, to which the bottom-up logic of the single point of sale is integrated, the role works in close synergy with the Buying and merchandise movement teams, ensuring constant product availability in-store and responding promptly to commercial needs.

The role has three main objectives:

  1. Supporting the manager in the development of an assortment strategy and seasonal planning (ensuring that the right quantity of goods is distributed correctly across price brackets) based on historical performance, forecasts, and collection development.

  2. Analyzing and monitoring performance trends and consumer patterns to support the development of effective short- and long-term planning.

  3. Optimizing sell-through performance and company profitability through efficient product management and movement, ensuring alignment with sales targets and service excellence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborating, in synergy with the involved departments, on the implementation of planning, assortment, and product allocation guidelines.

  • Gathering and interpreting historical data, current trends, and predictive analytics to execute the plan consistently and effectively; performing relevant product analyses and providing presentations and documents to summarize specific category performances in support of decision-making.

  • Monitoring the defined assortment according to the buying strategy and ensuring maximum consistency between order flow, allocations, and planning.

  • Monitoring market activity, collecting and analyzing Retail feedback, and promoting benchmarking activities against competitors, including through direct store visits.

  • Deepening and constantly maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the collection and seasonal projects.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering
  • Previous experience in the role gained through internships

  • Strong analytical mindset and outstanding problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in English

  • Excellent command of Excel

  • Strong interest in the Fashion Business
