Shipping Clerk (Dispatcher)

Job Description

Daily Tasks:

• Receive and dispatch drivers
• Perform various SAP functions and utilize MS Office and other systems
• Provide general clerical support to department
• Perform varied administrative/clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures including compiling and arranging data, marking standard computations, processing and coding documents, maintaining records and files
• Perform a variety of functions involved with shipping
• Occasionally may be back-up for Forklift Drivers (will be Forklift Certified) and should have 1 year of Forklift experience

Other Workplace Considerations:

• Must be able to work Second Shift

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Minimum1 year of experience working with computers/data entry
• Ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the administration of shipping execution
• Microsoft Office (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
• SAP Logistics execution experience
• Experience with transportation company driver interaction
