Job Description

To plan, execute and optimize social media communication for IKEA , ensuring strong brand presence, engagement, and consistency in tone of voice while contributing to commercial and marketing objectives.

As a social media specialist, you’d be responsible for creating engagement and growing the number of followers of these platforms, helping IKEA connect and interact with more of the many people.

  • Plan, create, and publish social media content aligned with IKEA tone of voice, brand identity, and local relevance
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all social media platforms
  • Adapt global content to local market needs while maintaining brand standards
  • Manage and coordinate with external agencies for content creation, publishing, and performance optimization
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, engagement, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activity to enhance content strategy
  • Lead campaign execution across digital channels in alignment with multichannel strategy
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Marketing SO, commercial, PR, web, food, customer experience) to ensure a 360 integrated communication
  • Act as a member of the Marketing team and proactively contribute to the marketing plan.
  • Drive an open and collaborative working environment, reflecting IKEA values and culture

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Social Media Account Management
  • Experience in content creation and social media management
  • Experience working with agencies and managing campaigns . Agency background preferred.
  • Basic experience with analytics and performance reporting
  • An interest and passion for social media and the opportunities it presents for reaching & interacting with audiences in new ways, and an interest in staying up to date on the latest developments and best practices.
  • Motivated to live and share our IKEA culture and values. 
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
