Software Engineer Intern

Skimlinks, a Taboola company, drives e-commerce success for 50% of the Internet’s largest online retailers. We deliver $2B in annual sales by connecting retailers to shoppers on the most desirable retail content channels. As a pioneer in online advertising and campaign technology, Skimlinks, together with its family of products (Taboola, Connexity, and Shopyourlikes) are constantly iterating on products, solving problems for retailers, content creators, and publishers, building interest in new solutions.

In this role, you’ll dive into developing high-impact systems - from orchestrating high-volume data collection and automated analysis to crafting robust backend services and RESTful APIs - while working side-by-side with engineering and operation teams to translate market insights into tangible engineering breakthroughs. Experience with tools like Python, SQL, and our modern tech stack (think Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP) is a bonus, but your passion for learning and scalable design is what will truly set you apart.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Implement and monitor API integrations that seamlessly connect our diverse systems

• Manage the ingestion of data and transforming raw data into actionable insights
• Support data integration processes to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
• Be an active participant of our development environment, and communicate the best development practices within the organisation (code reviews, automated testing, etc).

Requirements

What are the skills a good Software Developer Intern needs to have?

• Knowledge of Python or Java
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Technical level of English language proficiency
• Reliable, open, flexible, and proactive personality
• Desire to learn and develop professionally

Nice to haves include:

• Interest in artificial intelligence and neural networks
• Hardcore table football, ping pong, or darts skills
