Neptune North was founded in 2024 as a joint venture between Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting and part of the NYSE-listed Marsh, and Rokos Capital Management, a global alternative investment fund manager. Responsibilities

• Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new datasets of interest to the investment desk.
• Assist in analysing data vendors' product offerings and commercial structures to assess fit-for-purpose and value for money.
• Help maintain a map of the external vendor landscape, ensuring that data products are easily discoverable and well-documented across the firm.
• Build relationships with data vendors under the guidance of senior team members.
• Work directly with data consumers to understand their data needs, developing your knowledge as a subject-matter resource over time.

What makes a great candidate

• A demonstrable interest in financial markets, data, and technology.
• An interest in alternative data sources (e.g., satellite, web-scraped, transaction, sentiment) and their potential application to investment decision-making.
• Prior internship or placement experience in Financial Services is advantageous but not essential.
• An Undergraduate Degree in a relevant subject

We would also prefer you to have

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think creatively about the potential applications of different datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel. Exposure to SQL, Python, or data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) is advantageous but not required.
