About Manifest
Manifest helps people navigate one of the hardest decisions of their lives: how to build a life in the United States. We work with visa applicants and their families across O-1, EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, E-2, marriage green cards, and more — combining attorney expertise with technology to make the process clearer, faster, and more humane. Our clients come from immigrant communities around the world (Chinese, Brazilian, Colombian, Russian, and many others), and we meet them where they are: on Instagram, on TikTok, on YouTube, in WhatsApp groups, and in their language.
About the Role
Social is one of Manifest's most important top-of-funnel channels — and one of the most under-built. We're hiring a Social Media Manager to own it end-to-end: setting editorial strategy, leading a freelance team, and raising the bar on everything that ships. This is an editorial leadership role, not a production role — your job is to build the operation and grow the audience, not live in CapCut. If you've built a real social audience from scratch and can walk us through the work you directed, we want to talk.
What You'll Do
Own editorial strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Set content pillars, brand voice, and platform-specific playbooks
Source, brief, manage, and give feedback to freelance editors and producers
Build and run the workflow that turns ideas into 4–6 short-form videos weekly
Review and approve every piece of content before it ships
Run experiments on hooks, formats, and topics; develop a clear point of view on what works
Identify and build relationships with creators, immigration influencers, and community partners
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
4–6+ years running social or content at a brand, agency, or media company
Proven track record building or meaningfully growing an audience from scratch
Strong editorial taste — you can articulate what works and give feedback that makes editors better
Experience briefing and managing freelance creative talent
Systems-builder mindset: calendars, review loops, briefing templates don't intimidate you
Nice-to-haves:
Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, Mandarin, or Russian
Experience creating content for or within immigrant communities
Familiarity with immigration topics or adjacent high-stakes consumer decisions
This is for you if...
You want ownership — strategy, team, output, and results are all yours
You care about audiences who are making real, consequential decisions with their lives
You want to build something meaningful, not just manage a posting calendar
This is not for you if...
You're primarily a producer looking to grow into strategy
You're comfortable shipping average work and letting metrics decide quality
You treat engagement as the goal rather than a signal of genuine audience trust
You are looking for a remote role - this position is in-office in NYC, five days a week
