Description of Activities
Activities will be carried out within the Innovation Department. The trainee will join a team of eight R&D Engineers primarily focused on product development. The program will provide a comprehensive understanding of the sector and department, with a focus on synthetic yarns and tapes.
All necessary logistical and environmental conditions will be ensured to support learning and performance. The trainee will gain exposure to multiple aspects of industrial R&D, with continuous support from a senior professional.

Main Activities
- Use company tools and resources to support and suggest improvements in product development planning
- Interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Prepare technical specifications and data to support marketing materials and manuals
- Learn and apply quality-related requirements and support sales and marketing teams
- Support the team in executing product development projects
- Prepare and archive progress and final project reports
- Draft new specifications in accordance with standards
- Monitor tests, trials, and R&D production
- Work in manufacturing environments when required
- Organize and control project documentation
- Perform additional tasks within the Synthetics Innovation Department as needed
Qualifications
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong theoretical knowledge in engineering
- Ability to interpret and draft technical specifications
- Digital literacy
- Fluency in English

Requirements:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
Registration with IEFP (Portuguese Employment and Vocational Training Institute)
