Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering discipline from an accredited college or University.
  • Minimum 5-8 years' experience of Material handling system design.
  • Good Mechanical knowledge with practical hands-on experience in mechanical equipment & design calculation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and knowledge in Navisworks, Revit will be preferable
  • Good project coordination skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing project requirements and priorities
  • Preferred experience in design of automated machines and material handling capital equipment
  • Able to travel to project sites
  • Plan, organize, execute, monitor & control the design & engineering activities.
  • Is responsible for the translation and optimization of the as sold functionality to a working mechanical design within the budget in consultation with other disciplines
  • Is responsible for the correct engineering of mechanical interfaces with customers as well as subcontractors
  • Participate in scope clarification, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
  • Preparation of Flow diagram, System layout & Master equipment list (MEL/BOM).
  • Understand technical tender document and prepare technical compliance sheet.
  • Preparation of RFQ/data sheet of all mechanical equipment's with co-ordination relevant stakeholders & technical clarification with vendors / Customer.
  • Lead the team for Preparation of GA drawings, interface drawings & installation drawings.
  • Lead the team for detail design, production design.
  • Responsible for ordering of mechanical equipment's/parts 
  • Preparation of clash reports using Navisworks & responsible to resolving clashes of system layout with team, customers as well as subcontractors.
  • Lead the team for Preparation of installation drawings/documents and provide instructions to supervisor/ site installation team.
  • Responsible for project related documentations.
  • Preparation of system concept steel design & co-ordination with structural steel team.
  • Site survey and preparation of reports
  • Assist Sales in the creation of proposals/compliance matrix by providing engineering and design expertise
  • Evaluate manufacturing feasibility, estimate cost requirements of a variety of material handling systems

Qualifications

 Educational background  Bachelor Degree in Mechanical

 Experience   5-8 years
