Job Description

Sofitel Brisbane Central is seeking a passionate and service-driven Assistant Night Manager to join our Front Office team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury environment and enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences while leading overnight operations.

As the Assistant Night Manager, you will support the Night Manager and take responsibility for the smooth operation of the hotel during the overnight shift. You will lead a small team, ensure exceptional service standards are maintained, and oversee accurate night audit and financial processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support the Night team to deliver exceptional luxury service
  • Manage overnight hotel operations in the absence of the Night Manager
  • Complete night audit processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting accurately
  • Ensure outstanding guest experiences for all arrivals, departures, and overnight requests
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for guests and colleagues
  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to team members.

Qualifications

You will excel in this role if you have:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role and a desire to lead by example
  • Knowledge of Finance, Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping or Guest Services operations
  • The ability to demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Cash handling skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of hotel and financial security procedures and guest confidentiality
  • Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) and First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of OPERA cloud, Loyalty Platforms, Microsoft Office, Outlook and HubOs systems is highly advantageous.
