About the Team
Millions of Roku users rely on the Roku Search and Voice experiences every day to start their entertainment journey, identify new interests, and navigate the world’s largest streaming ecosystem — because they are fast, personalized, and delightfully relevant. Now, at a pivotal inflection point, Roku’s Search and Voice teams are coming together as a unified organization to build something far greater: the Roku Entertainment Assistant — our unified, AI-powered platform assistant that is ubiquitously accessible across the entire Roku ecosystem. This unified team combines tenured AI/ML talent with deep consumer product expertise, operating at massive scale and serving 100M+ viewers. The team is highly data-driven, running hundreds of consumer experiments per year, and is committed to shaping the future of how people discover and enjoy entertainment through intelligence that learns, adapts, and assists.
About the Role
As Director of Product Management for Search, you will lead this unified Search and Voice team at the most consequential moment in its history: the convergence of two world-class AI/ML-powered products into Roku’s flagship platform assistant. You will define the multi-year strategy for the Roku Entertainment Assistant, build organizational alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional partners, grow and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, and own measurable outcomes across engagement, monetization, and product quality. This role calls for a leader who brings both visionary clarity and executional rigor — someone who can inspire a team, earn executive trust, make hard trade-offs, and drive a product that will define how tens of millions of people interact with their TVs.
For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $301,000 - $482,500 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

- Cultivate cross-functional partnerships: Build deep, trusted relationships with XFN Experience PMs, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Ads, Content, and Business Development leaders to align on goals and manage complex dependencies at scale
- Represent Search & Voice externally: Champion the team’s vision with content partners, advertisers, and platform partners where relevant to Roku’s growth and ecosystem strategy
- Own monetization outcomes for Search & Voice: Partner with Ads and Content Monetization teams to define and deliver a monetization strategy — integrating advertising, subscription growth, and content distribution levers into the Search and Voice experience without compromising user trust

- Drive compliance and trust: Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure all AI-powered and voice experiences meet applicable standards and maintain user trust at scale
- Be deeply data-driven: Define the analytical direction for the team — setting KPI frameworks, reviewing experiment outcomes, and driving evidence-based product decisions across a portfolio of hundreds of A/B tests per year
- Drive Gen-AI innovation: Lead the team’s application of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, conversational AI, and voice understanding to create next-generation assistive entertainment experiences
- Evangelize product requirements: Translate product vision and insights into clear, detailed PRDs and align cross-functional teams through Roku’s planning and execution cycles
- Monitor and optimize performance: Track consumer and business KPIs across Search and Voice dashboards; refine success criteria with Analytics to ensure measurable outcomes across the unified platform

The Roku Culture
Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.
We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
