Who We Are

Overflow is a Series B Silicon Valley technology company with a bold mission: to inspire the world to give. We are a B2B SaaS philanthropy platform that enables modern giving across cash, stock, and crypto for nonprofits, churches, and mission-driven organizations.

Backed by leading investors including Uncork Capital, Craft Ventures, and Village Global, Overflow builds secure, beautifully designed infrastructure that powers generosity at scale.

Our Founding Principles

Overflow was founded on the belief that generosity transforms people and communities. Inspired by Proverbs 11:24 — "The world of the generous gets larger and larger" — we operate with integrity, stewardship, service, and excellence.

How We Work

Overflow operates with a flexible work model. While there is no company-wide in-office requirement, some teams may establish in-person collaboration rhythms based on their function, goals, and team needs.

We maintain offices in Los Gatos, CA and Birmingham, AL for team collaboration, coworking, meetings, and intentional in-person connection.

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to take end-to-end ownership of core areas of the Overflow product, including giving flows, the Tap product-led growth motion, payment experiences, and the client dashboard and reporting. You'll join a small, senior design team — as our third product designer — and partner daily with engineering and product to turn complex financial workflows into experiences that feel simple, trustworthy, and even delightful.

This is a builder's role, not a handoff role. You'll move fluidly between strategy, prototyping, and pixel-level polish, and help shape the systems, processes, and quality bar for how design works at Overflow as we scale. You'll report directly to the Head of Product and have an outsized voice on product direction.

What You Will Do

  • Own design end-to-end — drive work from problem definition through launch and iteration across a core product area, with no specs thrown over a wall and no handoffs

  • Turn ambiguous, high-stakes financial and operational workflows into experiences that feel intuitive and earn user trust

  • Contribute to roadmap and product strategy with a strong, user-grounded point of view — helping shape decisions, not just executing them

  • Move quickly from sketches to interactive prototypes to high-craft, production-ready designs, using prototyping to pressure-test ideas and align the team

  • Lead lightweight, self-serve research and connect directly with churches and nonprofits to validate direction and generate insights

  • Build and evolve Overflow's design system, establishing the foundations, patterns, and guidelines that let a small team ship consistent, high-quality experiences at speed

  • Participate in critiques, give and receive sharp feedback, present work in product leadership reviews, and help define how design operates at Overflow as the team grows

What You Should Have

  • 5–7 years of product design experience, with a track record of shipping successful products end-to-end across mobile and desktop

  • A portfolio that demonstrates both strong product thinking and exceptional visual and interaction craft, with attention to the details that make a product feel considered

  • Experience designing complex systems and flows, not just individual screens — ideally in B2B, SaaS, or fintech, or another domain with similar workflows and stakes

  • Comfort owning ambiguity and driving projects independently in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment

  • Fluency in prototyping (Figma required) and the ability to express nuanced design decisions through interactive work

  • Clear communication and storytelling — the ability to craft a narrative and vision that aligns engineers, PMs, and leadership

  • A collaborative, low-ego approach: kind, makes the people around them better, and treats feedback as fuel

It'd Be Nice If You Had

  • Experience scaling a design system and organization from early foundations

  • Fintech, payments, or other regulated/high-trust domain experience

  • Comfort prototyping in code or with AI tools, and an existing AI-augmented design practice

Our Compensation Philosophy

Overflow's compensation philosophy is rooted in Carta Total Compensation benchmarks, ensuring pay that is competitive by role, geography, and function. Total compensation may also include equity, performance-based bonuses (for eligible roles), and a comprehensive benefits package.
