Job Description
At AFCA, we’re building out our data and AI capability to better serve our customers and the community and we’re looking for a Senior Delivery Lead to help bring that vision to life.
As our Senior Delivery Lead, Data & AI, you’ll take ownership of delivering high‑priority data, analytics and AI initiatives, turning strategy into clear, actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work across business, technology and data teams to ensure delivery is well‑scoped, governed and aligned with AFCA’s strategic and regulatory priorities.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Data, Analytics & AI initiatives, including governance uplift
- Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, delivery plans, milestones and outcomes
- Establish and lead scaled agile (SAFe) delivery structures aligned with enterprise governance
- Drive delivery of AI use cases, adoption, capability uplift and operational readiness
- Lead data and AI technology integration initiatives across the organisation
- Act as a key integrator across Data & Analytics, Technology, business teams and vendors
- Manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution
- Support portfolio planning, executive reporting and governance forums
- Provide clear, confident updates on progress, risks, trade-offs and decisions required
- Act as a change agent, driving adoption and embedding new ways of working
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-focused delivery
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience leading complex technology, data, analytics, AI or governance-enabled delivery initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience translating strategy and business priorities into practical delivery plans, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business administration or project management.
- Strong background in enterprise delivery and transformation, not just project management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering using Agile and SAFe at scale.
- Experience in financial services, digital‑first organisations or highly regulated environments highly regarded.
- Track record working with blended delivery models (in‑house teams, agencies, system integrators).
- Strong hands‑on delivery leadership, with the ability to move between strategic oversight and execution.
- Deep ability to traverse business process change, customer experience and technical delivery end‑to‑end.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and complex stakeholder groups.
- Strong commercial, risk and dependency management capability.
- Clear communicator able to simplify complexity and build trust across business and technology domains.
- Growth mindset with a practical, outcome‑focused approach.
- Resilient, adaptable and calm in high‑change environments.
- Natural change agent who brings people through transformation, not just platform delivery.
- Customer‑centred, pragmatic and delivery‑oriented.
