Purpose of your role
Within Australia, our Wealth Advisor Partnerships division works with 650+ financial advisers, supporting high-net-worth clients with complex international transfer needs — including pension transfers, capital calls, property transactions, inheritances and global investments. We act as the trusted FX partner embedded within advice firms.
We are seeking a driven, commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support the growth of our Wealth Advisor Partnerships division.
You will proactively engage financial advice firms across Australia, introduce OFX’s adviser partnership model, and generate new adviser relationships that convert into long-term referral partners.
You will work directly with the BDM / Team Lead and progressively take ownership of more of the sales cycle over time.
Your core objective: Generate high-quality adviser partnerships that convert into active referral relationships.
What you do
- Research and identify target financial advice firms aligned to OFX’s HNW profile
- Conduct structured and consistent outbound outreach via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Engage advisers in professional, consultative conversations
- Qualify firms based on client base and FX relevance
- Book and confirm qualified meetings for the BDM
- Independently onboard Tier 3 firms where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and detailed Salesforce records
- Track performance metrics and continuously improve outreach effectiveness
What Success Looks Like
Within 6 months:
- Confident, structured outreach conversations
- Consistent booking of high-quality meetings
- Independent conversion of Tier 3 firms
- Clear demonstration of coachability and improvement
Within 12 months:
- Managing the majority of early-stage adviser engagement
- Reduced BDM involvement in Tier 3 partnership conversions
- Generating referral-active adviser partners
Qualifications
What you bring
- Experience: Prior experience with customer facing and/or sales roles.
- Self-Motivated & Hard Working: Dedicated to consistently making numerous outbound calls daily. Persistent, and resilient to rejection. Competitive mindset and driven to succeed.
- Collaborative: Team player and highly adaptable with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Organised & Efficient: Strong time-management and multi-tasking abilities, with a focus on efficiency.
- Detail-orientated: Ability to maintain accurate forecasting and records.
- Communication & Professionalism: Confident, articulate, professional communicator (verbal and written) with strong listening skills and the ability to establish relationships quickly, particularly with senior professionals.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify client needs and work towards solutions.
- Growth mindset: Motivated by progression and opportunities to take ownership. Seeking structured career growth. Ability to receive coaching and implement feedback fast.
