About Zipline

Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.

Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.

Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.

We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.

About the Role

As a Logistics Specialist, you will serve as a critical operational partner supporting Zipline's maintenance hubs. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, accuracy, movement, and traceability of materials, parts, tools, and operational assets that enable safe and efficient maintenance operations.

This role sits at the intersection of logistics, inventory management, maintenance operations, fleet management, quality, and supply chain. Success requires strong ownership, operational judgment, and the ability to solve problems in real time while balancing competing priorities.

In addition to managing inventory and material flow, you will oversee hub-owned vehicle assets, ensuring fleet readiness, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance execution, and cost-effective operation.

What You'll Do

Inventory Control & Material Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials, components, and consumables.
  • Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through disciplined ERP and inventory system transactions.
  • Execute cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure material traceability and configuration control requirements are met.
  • Support inventory replenishment strategies and maintain operational stock levels.

Maintenance Hub Logistics Support

  • Deliver materials, tooling, and consumables to maintenance teams in support of daily operations.
  • Coordinate material flow to maintenance cells and work centers to prevent operational downtime.

  • Track asset locations, inventory levels, and replenishment requirements.
  • Coordinate movement and deployment of operational equipment across sites.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records and asset accountability throughout the asset lifecycle.

Fleet Management

Serve as the primary fleet manager for maintenance hub-owned vehicles, including:

  • Vehicle registration and compliance tracking.
  • Fuel card administration and reconciliation.
  • Preventive maintenance scheduling and service interval management.
  • Coordination of repairs and maintenance with external service providers.
  • Vehicle utilization tracking and reporting.
  • Fleet documentation management and record retention.
  • Management of roadside assistance programs and vehicle incident reporting.
  • Monitoring vehicle condition and recommending replacement or disposition actions.

Outbound Logistics & Transportation

  • Coordinate outbound shipments of parts, equipment, and assemblies.
  • Prepare materials for shipment and ensure proper documentation and packaging.
  • Partner with transportation providers to schedule and execute shipments.
  • Support expedited logistics activities as operational priorities require.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, fleet utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures.
  • Support system implementations, testing, and process rollouts.
  • Drive operational excellence through data-driven problem solving and process improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, fleet operations, supply chain, manufacturing, aviation maintenance, or related operational environments.
  • Experience managing inventory systems, ERP platforms, and asset tracking processes.
  • Working knowledge of fleet management practices, vehicle maintenance scheduling, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward ownership and action.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving operational environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification or material-handling equipment experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, automotive, or industrial maintenance operations.
