Position Overview We are seeking a licensed and certified Special Education Teacher to join our Queens team. The ideal candidate holds a Students with Disabilities (SWD) certification and has a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs in a structured, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with clinical staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Monitor, document, and report student performance and behavioral data
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
Qualifications
- Valid NYS teaching license required
- Students with Disabilities (SWD) certification required
- Experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Passion for working with children and making a meaningful impact
Compensation: $75–$100 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Location: Queens, NY
