The role: The Field Sales Director is responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy in the Dutch market, focusing on expanding bakery & pastry distribution and strengthening market position. The role contributes to achieving sales growth and profitability targets.
Leading and developing the related team, the Field Sales Director drives performance, builds strong customer relationships, and identifies new business opportunities. Through continuous market monitoring, the role ensures effective execution and sustainable commercial growth.
- Education: Preferable degree and background in Business Administration, Commercial Economics, Marketing or equivalent experience. Appreciated a technical training in the food sector.
- Professional Skills: Customer’s relation & negotiation; Capability to score new business; Ability to analyze numbers; Forecasting techniques; Project Management; Products: general knowledge about food ingredients.
- Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in FMCG, retail, or distribution
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a field sales team
Experience with distribution development within the Dutch market
- Language Skills: Proficient in Dutch; English language is considered a plus
- Computer Skills: MS office (Excel) mandatory, CRM/salesforce
- Behavioural Requirements:
Strong leadership and coaching skills; Result-oriented and entrepreneurial; Excellent commercial and negotiation skills; Strong analytical and data-driven; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and set priorities
- Others: availability to travel for more than 75% of the time.
