Job Summary:
The Material Handler supports the glass cutting department by preparing materials, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth workflow around the cutting table. This role is essential for maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the cutting area, including cleaning, checking equipment, and staging materials.
- Retrieve and deliver the correct glass from inventory based on work orders.
- Inspect glass for defects and assist with manual breakout and labeling of pieces.
- Accurately enter production and inventory data into the computer system.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate labeling and visual inspection.
- Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to safely lift and handle glass sheets.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team while following all safety protocols.
