Position Summary
The Buyer, Investments will work as part of an integrated media investment team. The role involves substantial interaction and collaboration with client account leads as well as team members in the finance and client groups that are part of Media Experts and IPG Mediabrands. This position requires you to support the team with the maintenance and preparation of monthly budget forecasting, customer audits and analyses, as well as ensuring agency-wide targets and commitments are met.

Cette personne devra soutenir l’équipe dans le maintien et la préparation des prévisions budgétaires mensuelles, des audits clients et des analyses, tout en veillant à l’atteinte des objectifs et des engagements de l’agence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasting reports.
- Assist in investigating, explaining, and resolving variances where applicable (current vs. forecast, current vs. prior years, quarter vs. quarter, etc…).
- Coordinate with the planning/buying teams with regards to forecasts, rates and plans to ensure annual targets and commitments are met.
- Proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape.
- Attend media seminars and vendor presentations as required.
- Take initiative to streamline and improve upon existing processes, providing tangible solutions for on-going and future challenges.
- Assist in the preparation of client billing estimates and reconciliations.
- Assist in solving and clearing billing discrepancies and queries.
- Develop proficiency with media-related tools and research systems.
- Perform other duties/ad hoc projects as assigned which are within the scope of this role
- Participer à la préparation des rapports de prévisions mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles.
- Contribuer à l’analyse, à l’explication et à la résolution des écarts, lorsque requis (réel vs prévision, réel vs année précédente, trimestre vs trimestre, etc.).
- Coordonner avec les équipes de planification et d’achat média concernant les prévisions, les tarifs et les plans afin d’assurer l’atteinte des objectifs et engagements annuels.
- Développer de façon proactive ses connaissances du paysage médiatique.
- Participer à des séminaires médias et à des présentations de fournisseurs, au besoin.
- Prendre des initiatives pour simplifier et améliorer les processus existants, en proposant des solutions concrètes aux défis actuels et futurs.
- Participer à la préparation des estimations de facturation clients et aux conciliations de comptes.
- Aider à résoudre et à corriger les écarts et questions liés à la facturation.
- Développer une bonne maîtrise des outils et systèmes de recherche liés aux médias.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche ou projet ponctuel confié dans le cadre des responsabilités du poste.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Post-secondary education – bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong internal client relationship skills.
- Excellent ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.
- Proactive approach to problem solving, assisting the team, self-development, etc.
- Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel).
- Proficiency in Excel tools such as: Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, conditional formatting, IF statements, GETPIVOTDATA, etc.
- Formation postsecondaire – baccalauréat dans un domaine quantitatif, un atout.
- Excellentes compétences en communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
- Excellentes habiletés relationnelles et capacité à établir de solides relations avec les clients internes.
- Excellente capacité à gérer son temps et à établir les priorités efficacement.
- Solides compétences analytiques et financières.
- Approche proactive en matière de résolution de problèmes, de soutien à l’équipe et de développement professionnel.
- Grande capacité d’apprentissage et intérêt marqué pour le développement continu.
- Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word et Excel).
- Maîtrise des outils Excel tels que les tableaux croisés dynamiques, XLOOKUP, Power Query, la mise en forme conditionnelle, les fonctions SI (IF), GETPIVOTDATA, etc.

Expected Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
