Job Description
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain medical histories
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist physicians during in-office surgeries, excisions, biopsies, and cosmetic treatments
- Support patients with medication instructions and guidance
- Act as a scribe for the provider during visits
- Work one-on-one with dermatologists and physician assistants
- Receive comprehensive in-office training
- Learn to use our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Gain additional support through our custom MA training manual
Qualifications
Job Type:
- Full-time In-Person (32-36 hours/week) 4 days a week (3-day weekend)
- 3 days in Lansdowne
- 1 day in Aldie
Experience:
- Prior medical assisting experience is strongly preferred
- Completion of a medical assistant training program is helpful, but not required
- Previous clinical experience with direct patient contact is preferred
- Background in other healthcare roles is also valued
- Excellent opportunity for Pre-MD or Pre-PA candidates looking for hands-on experience
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications/Licenses:
- Medical Assisting Certification is preferred
Salary
- Starts at $18.00 hourly and increases with years of experience
