Job Purpose

The Business Development Director is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding client relationships across the company’s construction, real estate, facility management, and property management divisions. This role leads business development initiatives by identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities, developing targeted growth strategies, and cultivating strong partnerships within the market. Working closely with division leadership, the Business Development Director supports successful client onboarding, strengthens long-term relationships, and helps position the company for continued growth and success.

This position is based at our office in Medina, Ohio.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth:
Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across construction, real estate, facility management, and property management service lines to support strategic growth and revenue expansion.

Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, economic development organizations, public-sector partners, elected officials, and community stakeholders to strengthen market presence and brand awareness.

Client Strategy & Support:
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal divisions by leading onboarding efforts, supporting pricing and contract discussions, and ensuring a positive long-term client experience.

Cross-Divisional Collaboration:
Partner with leadership across all divisions to identify cross-selling opportunities, support client retention efforts, and drive continued business growth.

Market & Industry Engagement:
Represent the company at industry events, trade organizations, and networking functions while monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Requirements

Industry Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of business development, sales, or related experience within commercial construction, real estate, facility management, property management, or related industries required.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of commercial construction services, project delivery methods, and industry operations preferred.

Property & Real Estate Expertise: Intermediate knowledge of commercial property management and commercial real estate brokerage practices, trends, and client relationship management required.

Business Development Skills: Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and strategic growth planning skills with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple service lines.
