Summary
We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator 1 to set up and operate power saws used to cut, slot, groove, miter, and trim aluminum extrusions according to work order specifications. This role may also support other areas of the plant as needed to meet production demands.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 6:00 AM. Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Cut aluminum extrusions to specified dimensions
- Read, prioritize, and process work orders by due dates
- Lift, move, and stack aluminum pieces (up to 24 feet in length)
- Identify and work with various material profiles and shapes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and material storage space
- Accurately complete picking and re-cut lists to support inventory control
- Remove and dispose of damaged materials
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
