Job Description
This position supports operation by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required
The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Special Requirements:
Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes
Basic computer skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Desire to advance in Maintenance Department
Ability to operate forklift truck, scissors lift, and sky trac
Basic mechanical skills
Have positive attitude throughout the plant
Ability to weld carbon steel including equipment, piping, and structural steel
Ability to thread pipe and work with copper tubing
Willing to work overtime and emergency call-ins.
Primary Objectives
Completing PM’s on a daily and monthly time frame
Working with line operators/supervisors to keep lines running
Completing work orders in a timely matter
Ability to get along well with other people
Primary Duties
Keeping lines running for better efficiency
Work on work orders that are assigned
Cleaning the maintenance shop and parts cage area
Working Safely and following all SOP’s on lock out of equipment
Work on PM’s on the areas that are assigned
Able to assist others on job task
Identify needed mechanical improvements
Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
Completion and accuracy of down time sheets/GMP log
Completion of daily PM’s
Ability to be on call on weekends
Requirements
Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams; learn and follow written rules and procedures; produce accurate documentation; maintain acceptable attendance; must be willing and able to learn various positions; and must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies. In addition the qualified candidates must have High School Diploma or equivalent; basic computer knowledge (data entry); general math comprehension; and previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED
Relevant Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Previous Carpentry, Millwright, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Welding, Mechanical Repair valuable!
Equipment/Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge - data entry

Salary Range: $25.56 - $28.33 per hour

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights. Must be able to get respirator qualified.
This position is great for candidates that have Maintenance, Maintenance Tech, Sr. Maintenance Technician experience in the manufacturing industry.
