Join our dynamic team at Fraport Greece as a Health & Safety Officer. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting Health & Safety activities in the context of the Occupational H&S Management System (OHSMS) of Fraport Greece (FG), aiming to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment for employees and third parties by managing relevant risks and hazards.

The role is located in our premises in Marousi, Attiki.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Support the development and implementation of FG’s OHSMS.
  • Plan, execute and coordinate OHS-related actions and projects to achieve compliance of FG with its relevant legal and other requirements and standards, as well as for the continual improvement of H&S conditions.
  • Participate in the development and effective implementation of OHS-related process instructions, work instructions, guidelines and rules.
  • Provide administrative and technical assistance in terms of documentation, reporting, data collection for calculation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay up to date with H&S legal and other requirements and standards (H&S legislation, ISO, etc.) ensuring compliance of Fraport Greece.
  • Coordinate FG’s Safety Engineers and Occupational Doctors in terms of deliverables, visiting schedules, etc.
  • Participate in H&S projects (risk assessments, PPE, measurements, etc.) by coordinating their scheduling and implementation.
  • Perform H&S hazard identification.
  • Evaluate/analyze H&S risk assessments.
  • Conduct internal inspections of OHS conditions in line with the relevant OHSMS processes.
  • Support in H&S incident investigation, action planning and follow-up in cooperation with parties involved.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Previous professional experience of a minimum of three (3) years in the H&S sector.
  • Certified Lead Auditor for “Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems” (ISO 45001) or similar certification is desired.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written at a professional corporate level).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and tech savviness.
  • Fulfilled Military Obligations (if appropriate).

Fraport Greece is responsible for operating, managing, upgrading and developing 14 airports in Greece. The 14 airports - gateways to some of the most important global destinations - are: Aktion (PVK), Chania (CHQ), Corfu (CFU), Kavala (KVA), Kefalonia (EFL), Kos (KGS), Lesvos (MJT), Mykonos (JMK), Rhodes (RHO), Samos (SMI), Santorini (JTR), Skiathos (JSI), Thessaloniki (SKG), Zakynthos (ZTH) On 11th April 2017 full payment of the €1.234 billion upfront concession fee was made by Fraport Greece in tandem with the transfer of operations at the 14 airports for a period of 40 years. In tandem with the start-up of its concession for managing the eleven island and the three mainland airports across Greece, Fraport Greece realized a comprehensive plan for the modernization and development of the airports. Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems. The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
