Purpose of the Role

The Senior HR Business Partner (UK) supports the delivery of CIFF’s organisation‑wide People Strategy by working closely with Executive Directors and senior leaders. The role balances strategic partnership with hands‑on delivery, helping leaders build inclusive, high‑performing teams aligned to CIFF’s mission.

Some of what you might do includes;

  • Build trusted relationships with UK-based teams and leadership, embedding consistent and inclusive HR practices across supported areas.
  • Support the development of people strategies, policies and initiatives aligned to the CIFF People Strategy and business needs, using data and metrics to inform priorities and decisions.
  • Talent management and workforce planning for dedicated teams, identifying capability gaps and opportunities to upskill in line with organisational development principles.
  • Strengthen business continuity by working with leaders on second-line readiness for key roles and longer-term people planning.
  • Lead recruitment and selection across designated teams, shaping inclusive hiring approaches and supporting CIFF’s employer brand.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience as a strategic HR Business Partner in a complex organisation
  • Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders
  • Experience using data and evidence to inform people decisions, develop and embed people strategies and build forward thinking workforce plans.
  • Experience of managing end to end recruitment processes, particularly for niche or senior roles including managing complex recruitment processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations

Nice to Have Criteria

  • Experience in international, NGO or philanthropic environments
  • Experience contributing to global HR initiatives
  • Experience leading and implementing HR Projects

Available Upskilling

CIFF has a collaborative culture which promotes peer to peer learning. CIFF employees also have an annual allowance for relevant upskilling to support learning in the role.

CIFF operates a hybrid work policy across all locations, which means employees work in the office and some of the time from home. We are happy to provide more information on this as part of the recruitment process.

The starting salary for this role is £82,000.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a generous benefits package here at CIFF that includes, but is not limited to the following.

  • Annual leave - 25 days per annum. Increasing by 1 day after each year of service to a maximum of 30 days.
