Job Description

As a Lead Technical Writer within the Service Documentation Department, you play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality technical documentation across Vattenfall’s offshore wind portfolio.

In this role, you work closely with the Head of Service Documentation and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and fit for purpose. You support both the operational delivery and the ongoing development of the function, helping to improve processes, tools, and standards.

With your strong technical understanding and structured approach, you connect documentation across maintenance strategies and ensure it is practical, accessible, and valuable for site teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Service Documentation to plan and coordinate documentation activities
  • Guide and support documentation workstreams across projects and operational needs
  • Contribute to resource planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement of the function
  • Deliver and maintain high-quality, standardised documentation
  • Work with Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and quality
  • Support the translation of business needs into clear contractual and supplier requirements
  • Help evaluate supplier deliverables and ensure they meet agreed standards
  • Contribute to developing and improving processes, governance, and ways of working

Our wind, solar and batteries business offers a unique opportunity to be in your element working to help harness the forces which will take us to fossil freedom.

As part of Business Area Wind you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry with 24GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets.

You won’t only be involved in developing projects but pioneering cutting-edge innovation, new business models and ways of working with communities and the environment. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative, forward-thinking approach:

  • A strong technical background (e.g. mechanical, marine, or electrical engineering)
  • Experience in offshore wind, offshore construction, or a similar environment
  • Experience in planning, coordination, or guiding initiatives
  • Good understanding of O&M documentation and maintenance strategies
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A structured, proactive mindset with the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes
