Flora Food Group

Position: Global PMO Lead – Innovation & Portfolio
Location: Amsterdam, NL (Hybrid)

About the position

This role exists to build, lead and scale a fit-for-purpose global PMO capability across Flora Food Group, enabling disciplined, high-quality execution of innovation and portfolio priorities at scale. As Flora Food Group continues to scale consumer-led innovation globally, the business requires stronger orchestration across regions and functions, ensuring that complex innovation networks are delivered on time, in full, and with clear accountability.

The Global PMO Lead serves as the architect and leader of this capability — defining the operating model, embedding best-in-class ways of working, and ensuring delivery excellence across Europe, North America and Emerging Markets through a hub-and-spoke model. This role reports into the Global VP Product & Portfolio and is critical to reducing execution risk, accelerating speed-to-market, and increasing transparency on resource allocation & constraints, therefore enabling functional leaders to focus on strategic decision-making rather than coordination.

You are accountable for global execution excellence and orchestration, not for project content ownership. Project leadership and strategic direction remain with Marketing / Business leaders; this role ensures the work lands. You set the system and lead the capability — not just manage projects. You simplify and enable at scale — not add bureaucracy.

Operating at the intersection of strategy, execution and organisational capability, you will act as the single point of accountability for execution excellence across the global innovation and portfolio agenda, providing a clear view of timelines, risks and delivery confidence. You will build and lead a hub-and-spoke PMO organisation, with a small but experienced regional PMO team (NA, EU, EM) delivering locally within a common global framework, while ensuring consistency, transparency and rigor in how projects are planned, governed and delivered across the business.

What you’ll do:

Global PMO set-up & leadership

  • Define and implement the Global PMO framework (governance, tools, methodologies, standards).
  • Establish a hub-and-spoke PMO model, with clear regional ownership and interfaces.
  • Build and lead the PMO organisation (hiring, capability development, coaching).
  • Embed common ways of working across regions (timelines, milestones, gates, tracking).
  • Define and optimise global governance cadences (weekly drumbeats, gate reviews, escalation forums) with clear decision outputs.

End-to-end global portfolio orchestration

  • Own enterprise-level orchestration of priority innovation and portfolio initiatives.
  • Ensure integrated timelines across markets, managing interdependencies and resource constraints.
  • Own critical paths, risks and trade-offs; drive escalation and decision-making.
  • Establish a single source of truth for execution performance across priority blockbuster initiatives.
  • Oversee on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery and post-launch governance, including performance tracking and continuous improvement.

Cross-functional leadership & governance excellence

  • Act as the central coordination layer across global functions (Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance etc.).
  • Ensure cross-functional accountability for key deliverables (briefs, business cases, readiness milestones, system inputs).
  • Lead preparation of decision-ready inputs for governance forums (ExCo / gate reviews).
  • Drive execution discipline and high-performance culture, ensuring consistency across regions while allowing for local flexibility.

Capability building & continuous improvement

  • Build a best-in-class PMO capability (tools, templates, playbooks, training).
  • Define and track PMO performance metrics (delivery, timelines, ROI, execution quality).
  • Drive continuous improvement in lead times and ways of working.
  • Role-model execution excellence, pragmatism and simplification.

What Does It Take to Be Successful?

You are an experienced PMO leader with a proven track record of building and scaling enterprise-level PMO capabilities in complex, cross-functional environments. You operate seamlessly at both strategic and operational levels, with the ability to define governance and operating models while driving execution, timelines and risk management.

With 10–15+ years of experience in FMCG / CPG or similarly complex environments, you bring strong expertise in managing global, cross-functional portfolios and driving execution discipline across multiple markets. You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, including ExCo / C-suite, and have a solid understanding of stage-gate models and innovation lifecycles.

A strong systems thinker, you design simple, scalable ways of working and bring exceptional prioritisation, orchestration and delivery focus. You lead through others, build capability across regions, and hold teams accountable while staying pragmatic, resilient and solution-oriented. You are action-driven, thrive in ambiguity, and are energised by building teams, systems and structures from the ground up.
