Roles and Responsibilities

Your mission will be to :

  • Plan and execute actions to recover outstanding payments.
  • Follow up with customers regarding overdue balances and identify high-risk accounts.
  • Ensure diligent monitoring and follow-up of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
  • Communicate with delinquent borrowers to establish and maintain effective repayment plans.
  • Actively listen to customers while keeping the conversation focused on collections.
  • Provide guidance on available payment options and recommend the most suitable methods.
  • Accurately document all relevant information from each conversation.
  • Negotiate payment terms or settlement timelines where necessary.
  • Build trust with debtors when possible to prevent future delinquencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Microfinance, Banking, or Fintech operations, with direct exposure to delinquent clients and problem-solving scenarios.
  • Skilled in negotiation and persuasion.
  • Strong understanding of collection processes and strategies.
  • Excellent collaborator and team player.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to adapt quickly to new challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with collections systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Hands-on experience in an outbound debt collections, sales, or customer service environment.
