Job Description

Purpose of the Job 

Provide client administration services to a varied portfolio of clients based essentially in the UAE for which Ocorian provides services to / intends to service, under the supervision of the Manager and / or Unit Head in accordance with the UAE regulations and in strict adherence to the procedures and processes of Ocorian. 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Attend to client queries on a daily basis and ensure that all emails are replied within 24 hours 
  • Prepare resolutions, minutes, board meetings and AGM 
  • Prepare agenda, board packs and action notes for board meeting 
  • Prepare documents for various corporate statutory changes with the various authorities in the UAE 
  • Prepare bank account opening documents 
  • Prepare transfer instructions and checklists and ensuring that risk screening is done on the concerned parties 
  • Liaising with bank regarding bank account opening and other related matters 
  • Prepare employment and dependent visa application 
  • Review KYC received from client to ensure that it is in line with Ocorian group standard 
  • Submission of financial statements to the UAE authorities 
  • Apply for lease and license renewal with the UAE authorities 
  • Prepare liquidation documents 
  • Arrange for filings as per the UAE legislations (ESR, AML, UBO, etc) 
  • Apply for DIFC will 
  • Submission of VAT returns and VAT refund with the UAE tax authorities 
  • Prepare loan and other agreements  
  • Apply for Tax Residence Certificate 
  • Assisting the Manager for the completion of various projects as may be required by the UAE team 
  • Other administration work

Qualifications

  • A first degree in Law, Management, Finance or related field; and 
  • ICSA or ACCA or any professional qualification related to the Global or financial sector would be an advantage. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in the financial services sector. 
  • Knowledge of financial services legal and regulatory requirements; 
  • Knowledge of various structures and licenses in the financial services sector (GBL, Funds, Trusts, special activity licenses etc) 
  • Knowledge of platforms used by authorities and institutions in relation to statutory filings
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining close attention to detail
