At Go1, we’re on a mission to help organizations deliver learning and development in more relevant, timely, and effective ways. From a small startup to now a global brand - we’ve grown by solving hard problems, embracing ambiguity, and never standing still.
If you thrive on change, get energy from big, complex challenges, and are excited to grow fast alongside smart, ambitious people, then Go1 might be exactly what you’re looking for. We offer autonomy with accountability, space to experiment, and the opportunity to shape solutions that impact millions of learners worldwide. We don’t have all the answers — and that’s the point. We figure it out together. Every line of code, every conversation, every bold idea helps move us closer to our mission: to enable individuals, organizations, and society to progress. There’s still so much to build — and even more to discover. Go there with us...
We are looking for a Director of Data Intelligence to lead the next phase of that ecosystem.
This is not a dashboard-factory role. It is a chance to shape how a global SaaS business understands itself, makes decisions and turns data into customer and commercial advantage. You will report to the CTO, leading a multidisciplinary team across analytics, data engineering and data science. Your mandate is to make trusted data easier to use than local workarounds, give the business confidence in it's most critical metrics, and build the foundations for AI-assisted decision-making at scale.
What you'll own:
You will set the direction for Data Intelligence at Go1, with a focus on trusted business metrics, governed self-service, reusable data products, and practical business impact. You will help Go1 answer questions like:
- Which metrics can we trust for company-level decisions?
- Where do ARR, retention, churn, product adoption, and customer health signals disagree, and why?
- How do we make trusted data discoverable and usable by leaders, teams, and AI tools?
- How do we help domains own their operating evidence without fragmenting company truth?
- Which data products will materially improve customer outcomes, commercial performance, or decision speed?
What you'll do:
- Lead Go1’s Data Intelligence strategy in partnership with the CTO, Product, Engineering, Finance, Customer, GTM, Legal, and Risk leaders.
- Strengthen Go1’s trusted business spine: shared definitions, semantic layers, metric ownership, data quality, lineage, observability, metadata, and governance.
- Scale self-service analytics in a way that increases confidence rather than creating more unreconciled numbers.
- Turn data assets into reusable products that support customer health, churn prevention, product adoption, forecasting, planning, PLG, business reviews, and executive decision-making.
- Prepare Go1’s data ecosystem for AI-assisted analysis by making definitions, trust levels, ownership, and approved evidence paths machine-readable and human-usable.
- Build clarity around where Data Intelligence owns the foundation, where domains own operating evidence, and how weak or unsupported claims are challenged constructively.
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of analysts, engineers, and scientists, building leadership depth and practical delivery capability across the function.
What success looks like:
- Go1’s most important decisions are made from shared, trusted evidence.
- Business leaders know which numbers are certified, which are directional, and what trade-offs they are making when they use each.
- Product, GTM, Customer, Finance, and Engineering teams can answer more of their own questions without waiting in a central queue.
- Data Intelligence is known for raising decision quality, not just producing reports.
- AI-assisted data access becomes safer and more useful because it is grounded in governed definitions, semantic context, and clear trust signals.
What you'll bring:
- You have significant experience (8+ years) across analytics, data engineering, data science, data governance, or adjacent data leadership roles.
- You have led multidisciplinary data teams in SaaS, marketplace, subscription, or digital product environments.
- You have built or improved trusted business metrics, semantic layers, data quality practices, governance models, or self-service analytics capabilities.
- You know how to balance precision and pragmatism: when a number must reconcile, when directional evidence is enough, and how to communicate that distinction clearly.
- You have turned data work into measurable business outcomes, not just better internal artefacts.
- You are comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions, and improving how an organisation makes decisions.
- You are a practical operator as well as a strategist. You can set long-term direction, but you are also willing to get close to the work when the system needs clarity.
- You lead with curiosity, accountability, and judgement. You build teams that are trusted because they are useful, rigorous, and commercially aware.
Why this role matters:
Go1 is entering a phase where trusted data is not just a support function. It is part of how we scale product strategy, customer outcomes, commercial performance, and AI-enabled operations. The right leader will help Go1 move faster because the business can see itself more clearly.
