HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
ContiTech is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our Quality team. In this role, you will support product quality and manufacturing performance through material testing, data analysis, inspections, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure products meet customer and company quality standards.
Please Note: This is a technician-level position focused on hands-on execution, troubleshooting, testing, and day-to-day operational support. This role is not an engineering, design, product development, or process engineering position.
Your Tasks
- Perform testing on raw compounds, fabrics, and finished products in accordance with established procedures and test methods
- Conduct production adhesion testing, incoming material inspections, and R&D/project-related testing
- Evaluate and process QC Holds and support material release activities
- Communicate test results and notify management of potential quality concerns or nonconforming materials
- Ensure testing and reporting activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Support compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and reporting records
- Assist with investigations and resolution of quality-related issues
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support continuous improvement activities
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with ISO 9001, safety, company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety expectations
THE ENVIRONMENT
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must always be adhered to.
- Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around machinery
- The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing Quality Lab
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze data and identify potential quality concerns
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
