Senior Associate, Games Management Systems- Games Services Apps
This operational and analytical position will play an instrumental role in the implementations and day-to-day management of key business systems at LA 2028. As a Senior Associate in the technology team, the role will work with project stakeholders across the organization and be responsible for ensuring successful implementation and integration of applications into the LA28 technology ecosystem. This cross-functional role will provide support for analytical projects that include business team engagement, process improvement, and long-term games planning initiatives.
The candidate should exhibit strong technical and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple solutions at a rapid pace. The position will require significant collaboration and partnership to get alignment on and drive objectives.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Games Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a critical member of the tech project team and work cross-functionally to support the delivery and management of the prioritized roadmap to implement key LA28 business solutions including existing Medical, Logistics, and Architecture technology solutions.
- Liaise with organizational stakeholders to align business initiatives and projects with technology solutions and resources. Help to define business use cases, requirements, objectives, and success criteria to help develop and define clear project plans and resourcing.
- Evaluate new technologies to support evolving business and capabilities requirements, develop RFPs and evaluate vendor responses, and identify necessary system advancements or additions.
- Support the development and maintenance of integrations between enterprise tools and business systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (IOC, LA28 Functional Areas, external Service Providers, and venues) to help strategize and plan for long term Master Schedule and games delivery milestones. Support planning, implementation, and integration of the Games management applications.
- Analyze existing business processes and make recommendations to streamline processes, create workflows and recommend automations within the solutions ecosystem.
- Triage system-related requests and provide broad day-to-day support for end users, including coordinating troubleshooting support with the technology department and vendors/partners.
- Coordinate with external service providers to manage enhancement requests, ensure support processes (issue triage and troubleshooting) meet SLAs, and ensure operational availability.
- Coordinate with external service providers and internal cyber security and architecture teams to complete and document all assurance and risk mitigation activities.
Background & Requirements:
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with administering technical software solutions.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end technical implementations. Possess technical project management skills to prioritize initiatives, control scope, manage issues and risks, and deliver on time.
- Experience with structured deployments including user acceptance testing and release management.
- Intellectually curious, optimistic, patient and kind demeanor.
- Fluent in project management frameworks (PMP or Prince2) and the use of tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, or MS Project).

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
- Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $98,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
