  • Part-Time, 4 days, max-term until March 2027
  • Based in the Goulburn/Queanbeyan region on the lands of the Ngunnawal, Ngambri and Ngarigo Peoples - flexible working conditions on offer

Your role, your impact
In this role, you’ll partner with families and caregivers to support children with developmental delay or disability to grow, learn and thrive. Your work creates lasting impact by strengthening the skills and confidence of those who support each child every day.

  • Deliver supports: Provide strengths-based early childhood supports tailored to each child and family
  • Partner with families: Set goals and plan supports based on what matters most to them
  • Assess development: Identify support needs using observations and evidence-based tools
  • Build capability: Strengthen the skills of families, carers and educators in everyday routines
  • Support inclusion: Enable participation in community and mainstream environments
  • Plan interventions: Design and deliver individual and group-based supports
  • Maintain records: Ensure accurate documentation and compliance requirements are met
  • Support NDIS access: Assist families to navigate and implement NDIS plans where relevant
  • Collaborate with others: Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting children: Background in early childhood, disability or community settings
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to build respectful and trusting relationships
  • Collaborative approach: Confidence working within multidisciplinary teams
  • Intervention planning skills: Ability to tailor supports to individual needs
  • Organisation and time management: Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Flexible working capability: Confidence working across home, community and virtual settings
  • Knowledge of development: Understanding of child development and family-centred practice
  • Relevant qualifications: Qualification in early childhood, education, Social Work, or allied health (e.g. speech pathology, occupational therapy)
  • Professional registration: Allied health registration where applicable
  • Driver’s licence: Valid Australian driver’s licence with willingness to undertake outreach

What will make you stand out

  • NDIS experience: Experience working within early childhood intervention or the NDIS
  • Group facilitation: Experience delivering parent programs, playgroups or group supports
  • Sector knowledge: Understanding of the not-for-profit or community services sector
