Job Description
Role Purpose
The Commercial Bid Support Officer supports the development of winning bids by preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing commercial data, and collaborating closely with technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, a curious mindset, and a desire to grow within a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates to support bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Analyse historical data, supplier quotes, and internal inputs to validate assumptions and improve estimate accuracy.
- Build, maintain, and optimise complex Excel models to support pricing and scenario analysis.
- Work collaboratively with bid managers, sales teams, and subject matter experts to gather required commercial and technical information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, processes, and templates.
- Support risk assessments and commercial evaluations during bid development.

- Advanced Excel Skills – Capable of building and managing complex spreadsheets involving formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and data visualisation.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
This role is pitched at a graduate level position, with relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, or similar preferred. Exposure or experience in commercial analysis or bid tendering is welcomed but not a pre-requisite for the role.
The existing Business Development team is in a period of growth and is set up well for success. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Bid Manager, you will be part of an award winning team that have great structures in place. Your role will be to assist in evolving and improving the existing commercial bid governance process and developing your career inside a supportive global organisation with a people first culture.
