Job Description

As our Senior Solutions Architect, Data & AI, you’ll sit at the intersection of Enterprise Architecture and Data & Analytics, translating strategy into real, deliverable solutions.

You’ll lead the design of scalable, secure and future-ready architectures, guiding everything from data platforms and analytics to AI-enabled solutions. This is a newly created role, and we are looking for someone who is a  leader, trusted advisor and able to deliver in a complex, highly regulated environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define and lead end-to-end solution architecture across data, analytics and AI initiatives
  • Act as the critical bridge between enterprise strategy and delivery teams
  • Translate complex business, regulatory and technology needs into practical, scalable designs
  • Provide hands-on leadership across data platforms, AI solutions, integration and analytics ecosystems
  • Embed security, privacy, governance and responsible AI into all solution designs from day one
  • Guide teams through design patterns, trade-offs, risks and dependencies
  • Drive architectural consistency across data ingestion, transformation, modelling, serving and reporting
  • Identify and manage architectural risk, technical debt and cross-platform impacts
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise data and AI architecture roadmaps and standards

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in solution architecture roles within complex enterprise and highly regulated environments. 
  • Demonstrated experience designing and guiding solutions across data platforms, analytics, reporting, integration and AI-enabled capabilities. 
  • Strong understanding of modern data architecture, including data ingestion, data pipelines, data modelling, lakehouse or warehouse patterns, metadata, lineage, data quality and data serving layers. 
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems, preferably including Microsoft D365, Azure and Databricks. 
  • Experience with AI, machine learning or generative AI solution patterns, including data preparation, model integration, deployment, monitoring, human oversight and responsible use considerations. 
  • Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, security, access management, ethical AI and regulatory considerations in a sensitive or regulated data environment. 
  • Proven ability to operate at the intersection of enterprise architecture and delivery, balancing strategic alignment with pragmatic implementation. 
  • Ability to translate complex business, data and technology requirements into clear architecture options, recommendations and delivery-ready designs. 
  • Experience working with agile, SAFe or iterative delivery teams in transformation or enterprise technology environments. 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. 
  • Ability to simplify complex data and AI concepts for non-technical audiences, including executives and governance forums. 
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capability, with sound judgement in balancing speed, risk, cost, sustainability and architectural integrity. 
  • Credible technical leader and natural collaborator
