The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business has multiple opportunities available for Forklift Operators to join the Transport team based in Archerfield, QLD. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. You will work with the team to load and unload steel products as they arrive and when they’re despatched to our customers. Using forklifts and other lifting equipment, you will move the products safely and accurately. There will also be some general warehousing duties to give your day variety.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate, plus applicable shift allowances and eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses.

Multiple opportunities are currently available across Day Shift, Afternoon Shift and Night Shift rosters:

Day Shift: Monday to Thursday (3:40am – 12:00pm), Friday (3:50am – 10:00am)

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday (11:40am – 8:00pm), Friday (9:50am – 4:00pm)

Night Shift: Sunday to Wednesday (7:00pm – 3:20am), Thursday (7:00pm – 1:10am)

What Will You Do?

This diverse role will offer you variety each day, providing you with scope to showcase your skills that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality of our products, your responsibilities will include:

  • loading and unloading steel products from trucks
  • operating forklifts and other plant equipment safely and efficiently
  • conducting routine safety and equipment checks before and after use
  • assisting with general warehouse duties to maintain a clean and organised workspace
  • coordinating with team members and supervisors to meet production and despatch schedules

More About You

You are someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, thrives in a team environment, and understands the importance of working safely in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Reliable and dedicated, you are also keen to learn and develop yourself on the job. You will also bring:

  • a current LF (Forklift) license prior to employment
  • the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • experience in a similar operating environment
  • good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others
