The Opportunity

Our Distribution and Service Centre is looking for a Day Shift Supervisor in our Processing and Logistics team based in Wingfield, SA.   As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

As someone who is passionate about coaching and mentoring a team, you’ll be reporting directly to the Site Operations Leader and play a key role within our leadership team.  As the Shift Supervisor you’ll be overseeing the day shift team, taking responsibility for our Wingfield based plant – co-ordinating across production and logistics.  Success in this role will grow from your capability to build an effective team culture promoting safety, communication and collaborative problem solving and ongoing development.  This is a rewarding and challenging role with the opportunity to get involved in capital projects and shape the future of our site!

What Will You Do?

You’ll be accountable for facilitating site safety, standard process control and team coordination.  The role will see you:

  • leading and supervising our operations area including product scheduling, machine operation and maintenance
  • supporting and assisting your team with daily operations
  • identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and mitigate risk - striving for on time delivery for our customers
  • ensuring safety standards are continuously evolving, championing change when risks and opportunities are identified
  • growing and mentoring your team to develop their technical capability

More About You

Along with your enthusiasm for working with people, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team and exposure within a manufacturing operational environment. You’ll bring:
