Job Description

AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Part-Time Day Program Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Queens Adult Day Program.

DATE & TIME: WEDNESDAY JUNE 17TH from 2PM - 4PM

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.

PER-DIEM POSITIONS:

Pay Rate: $20 per hour....No Benefits.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm (30 hours per week).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits.
  • Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities.
  • Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book.

Qualifications

  • Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
  • Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
  • Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
