Hourly Rate: £34-36 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (no on-call or out-of-hours)
Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 8A Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist to join a pharmacy team in Staffordshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services within a mental health setting, supporting safe and effective medicines management. The successful candidate will undertake ward-based clinical duties and support dispensary services, including working alongside ACT pharmacy technicians to ensure high standards of care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services across mental health wards.
- Conduct ward visits and provide expert medicines advice to clinical teams.
- Support dispensary operations and supervise ACT pharmacy technicians.
- Contribute to medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support clinical governance activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Extensive experience in mental health pharmacy (essential).
- Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
- Ability to work at Band 8A level or equivalent.
- Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
