Accounts Payable and Indirect Tax Professional

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable and Indirect Tax Professional to join our finance team in Kefar Sava, Israel. In this role, you will manage critical accounts payable functions and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records while meeting all regulatory requirements.

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries
• Maintain comprehensive accounts payable records and documentation
• Monitor and ensure compliance with indirect tax obligations, including VAT and other applicable taxes
• Prepare and file indirect tax returns and reports in accordance with Israeli tax regulations
• Reconcile accounts payable subledgers and general ledger accounts on a regular basis
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to facilitate smooth payment processing
• Analyze tax implications of transactions and provide recommendations for tax optimization
• Maintain knowledge of current tax laws and regulatory changes affecting the organization
• Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to record and track financial transactions
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Identify process improvements and implement efficiency measures within the accounts payable function

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounts payable management and processing
• Strong knowledge of indirect tax regulations, including VAT and sales tax compliance
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
• Demonstrated expertise in financial record-keeping and reconciliation
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Israeli tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality

**Preferred Skills:**

• Experience with tax compliance software and tools
• Familiarity with multi-currency transactions and international tax considerations
• Background in audit support or tax preparation
• Experience with process automation and workflow optimization
