Job Description
As a CAD Designer, you will support the 3D design and detailing of silo-related structures, racking systems and industrial steel constructions. You will work closely with engineers, project managers and other internal stakeholders to translate technical requirements into accurate 3D models and production drawings.
The role requires a strong interest in mechanical design, good 3D modelling skills and the ability to work with precision in a project-driven environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating and updating 3D models for silo, racking and steel structure projects.
- Preparing detailed technical drawings based on engineering input.
- Translating design requirements into clear and accurate 3D models.
- Supporting engineers with drawing updates, modifications and technical documentation.
- Checking drawings and models for consistency, accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Working closely with project teams to support project delivery.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of design methods and drawing quality.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a similar technical field.
- First experience as a CAD Designer, Mechanical Designer, Technical Designer or Design Drafter
- Strong 3D design and 3D modelling skills ; this is mandatory
- Good understanding of technical drawings and mechanical design principles
- Experience with Tekla is a strong plus, but not mandatory
- Experience or interest in steel structures, racking systems, silos or industrial projects
- Accuracy, curiosity and a structured way of working
- A practical mindset and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- English is mandatory. Dutch or French is a plus
