Job Description
About the role
As Trade Compliance Coordinator, you’ll help keep Sobi’s global shipments moving in a compliant, efficient and well-documented way. Working closely with senior trade compliance colleagues, logistics teams and external customs brokers, you’ll support customs processes, documentation, sanctions screening, permits and day-to-day compliance activities across international flows.
This role suits someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and cross-functional collaboration — and who wants to grow in a global supply chain and compliance setting within pharma.
You will join our Global Supply team, report to the Head of Global Transport & Trade Compliance Operations and be based at our Stockholm HQ. The role is Hybrid.
What you will do
- Support product classification, origin determination and maintenance of trade compliance master data
- Support import and export activities to ensure compliant, smooth shipment flows
- Prepare, review and maintain trade compliance documentation, including verification of customs declarations and broker data
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders and internal stakeholders to resolve daily issues
- Support sanctions screening, due diligence, permits and regulatory monitoring
- Assist in determining country of origin (preferential and non-preferential)
- Help maintain procedures, records, controls and training materials across trade compliance
- Contribute to reporting, KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
About you
You are structured, collaborative, and comfortable working in a detail-oriented environment where compliance matters. You bring a hands-on mindset, good judgement and the confidence to work across functions and with external partners. Most of all, you enjoy making things run smoothly and want to grow in an international trade compliance role.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in customs, export controls or trade compliance in an international environment
- Good understanding of customs processes, documentation and regulatory requirements
- A relevant degree and strong communication skills in Swedish and English
- A proactive, structured way of working and a genuine interest in improving processes
- Experience from pharma or another regulated industry is a plus
At Sobi, our values are Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership.
