Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team during Q3 2026 as a Technical Guidance Analyst (TGA), supporting the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland.
This is a long-term, full-time position with benefits as part of an extraordinary team of professionals who support some of our nation’s most delicate, important, and rewarding work.
- This position is eligible for situational telework up to 80 hours per calendar year
- Under the mentorship of a Senior Technical Guidance Analyst (STGA), and in collaboration with the DOE National Laboratories and the NNSA, the TGA will assist in the preparation of classification guidance
- The TGA will also assist in the preparation of classification/declassification policy documents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE procedures for Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD), National Security Information (NSI), and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI)
Compensation Range: $110,000 - $135,000 Per Year (depending on qualifications)
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- Applicants MUST have a current Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience supporting an NNSA facility.
- This position requires excellent writing and verbal communication skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15 (Nelson Denny reading assessment).
Highly Sought After (but not required) Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Two (2) years of recent experience performing work in one or more of the following areas:
- Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF)
- Nuclear weapon science
- Nuclear weapon design, development, testing, production, and deployment
- Candidates with knowledge of DOE derivative classification are highly regarded
Education:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nuclear engineering, a physical science discipline, or a related engineering discipline
