MES Solution Architect – PharmaSuite (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled MES Solution Architect with proven experience in MES platforms within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally FactoryTalk PharmaSuite (Rockwell Automation), to drive the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing execution solutions. In this critical role, you will act as a technical leader, working closely with clients to ensure seamless integration between MES and enterprise/shop-floor systems. You will lead standardization initiatives, guide recipe design, and help build scalable delivery capabilities within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the creation of Process Requirement Specifications (PRS) and the overall design of MES recipes.
• Drive standardization and harmonization through reusable MES templates, libraries, and best practices.
• Design and implement integrations between MES and key adjacent systems, including SAP, LIMS, and DCS.
• Define MES solution architecture and data flows across manufacturing and enterprise landscapes.
• Support the growth of the MES delivery team by identifying required capabilities and facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Mentor client and project teams to build long-term MES expertise and operational readiness.
• Coordinate and guide German-speaking MES recipe authors and support teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience and architectural knowledge in PharmaSuite or other MES in the life science industries.
• System Integration: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing interfaces between MES and enterprise/shop-floor systems, with strong working knowledge of SAP, LIMS, and DCS.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, QA documentation, and testing frameworks.
• Regulatory Fluency: Strong working knowledge of critical industry standards: GxP, GAMP etc.
• Language Skills: Fluent German is strictly required for collaborating with MES recipe authors and personnel, alongside professional proficiency in English.
• Leadership Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, transfer knowledge effectively, and scale resources dynamically based on project needs.
• Hybrid On-Site: On-site presence is required at least from Tuesday to Thursday to ensure highly collaborative MES recipe development, testing, and team alignment.
