Job Description

About the role

You will ensure jobs flow reliably from hirer systems into SEEK via our frictionless job posting solution, Ad Sync. This 18-month fixed-term role involves facilitating hirer access, monitoring feeds, and troubleshooting issues in a hands-on technical capacity focused on data quality, issue monitoring, and understanding how different ATS (Application Tracking Systems) platforms expose job data to SEEK via API or XML/JSON feeds.

Reporting into the Product – Hirer/Indirect team, you will work closely with internal teams, hirers, and ATS partners, playing a critical role in the smooth ingestion, processing, and monitoring of job feeds while resolving technical incidents that impact internal stakeholders and customers. You will build deep internal expertise in how the Ad Sync platform, processes, and systems work, using this knowledge to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.

You will also build and maintain familiarity with major ATS platforms like Workday, Oracle, JobAdder, and PageUp, understanding how they structure job data, generate feeds, and configure fields that map to SEEK's schema. Success means enabling smooth onboarding, monitoring, and troubleshooting at scale while providing structured feedback to Product and Engineering on recurring issues and opportunities to improve Ad Sync.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build deep expertise in Ad Sync platform and monitor end-to-end job data flow from ATS to SEEK using Datadog, Splunk and dashboards
  • Investigate missing or incorrect ads by tracing jobs through internal systems, validating data, documenting root causes and identifying fixes
  • Analyze XML/JSON feeds to confirm suitability and identify validation or mapping issues that impact posting quality
  • Build and maintain familiarity with major ATS platforms understanding how they structure job data, generate feeds and configure fields
  • Work directly with hirers and ATS contacts to expose correct fields, meet technical requirements and resolve feed issues
  • Contribute to and maintain internal documentation including runbooks, checklists and playbooks for consistent, repeatable workflows
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering on recurring issues, gaps and opportunities to improve Ad Sync and monitoring tooling
  • Train and enable internal teams on Ad Sync processes, tools and troubleshooting patterns for confident frontline support

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and structured approach to root cause analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, reconciliation and creating clear, actionable reports

Desirable skills and experience

  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and how they generate feeds for SEEK Ad Sync with experience in Workday and Oracle a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience with Postman or similar tools for testing and validating APIs including authentication, payloads and response handling
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot XML/JSON feeds including schemas, mandatory fields and common validation issues for job feeds
  • Strong familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog and Splunk for log analysis, dashboard monitoring and incident investigation
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, validating and reconciling job data across systems
