Job Description

Didipio Mine is undergoing a significant underground growth and infrastructure expansion phase. With continued operational ramp-up and long-term development opportunities, this is an exciting time to join the operation and play a key role in shaping its future.

The Principal Mining Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term mine plans that support the company’s strategic and operational objectives. The role ensures alignment across long, mid, and short-term planning horizons while integrating technical, operational, infrastructure, and economic inputs to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable mining outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimisation of Life of Mine plans, production schedules, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Coordinate quarterly and long-term planning activities across technical and operational teams.
  • Monitor and update mine plans based on operational performance and business priorities.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and trade-off studies to support operational and investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain mine planning standards, systems, and engineering procedures.
  • Support safe and efficient mining operations through effective planning and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Build strong working relationships across site and corporate teams to support integrated planning and operational delivery.
  • Mentor and develop engineering personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Extensive  mine planning experience within an underground mining environment preferably open stoping (minimum 10 years).
  • Strong knowledge of mine planning, scheduling principles and sustainable mining practices.
  • Expert proficiency in Deswik CAD and Scheduling Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and presentation across the business  
  • Exposure to international mining practices considered highly advantageous
