Safely and efficiently operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support as per mine standards. At all times, display a high degree of professionalism and quality of work to ensure that cost effective productivity is delivered safely and on time. 

  • Ensure all headings bored are mined online and to grade. 
  • Working accurately, with minimum overbreak. 
  • Making sure that all headings mined comply with standards. 
  • Mentor style approach and teamwork. Lead by example and fulfil all job responsibilities competently. 
  • Perform all work and associated functions safely.

Qualifications

  • Full and current driver license and confidence driving manual vehicles over rough terrain. 
  • Current First Aid Certificate.            
  • A minimum of 8 years underground mining experience, 2 of which operating a Jumbo. 
  • Ability to install bolts and mesh and bore headings. 
  • Proven experience operating Sandvik Jumbo Drills. 
  • Must have previous experience as a Loader Operator and Development Charge Up.
