Job Description

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Document and record all data for holes drilled during shift.
  • Rebuild down the hole hammers
  • Change out consumables on drill rig. (bits, hammers, Drill steels)
  • QAQC Blast Patterns as Needed
  • Communicate with supervisor and other members of the team

Qualifications

  • Epiroc D65 drill experience
  • Sandvik DI650i drill experience
  • Sandvik DR410i drill experience
  • Blast hole loading experience
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Understanding of Drill Patterns and design
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Small support equipment experience (Skid steer, WA-270-wheel loader)
  • Attention to detail
  • Education

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
  • Work is in a surface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hart hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
