Care Assistant (Morning 8am-2pm/Evening 4pm-10pm)

Job Description

As a Care Assistant, Support Worker, HCS or Home Carer you’ll be supporting older adults with their morning or evening routines, providing reassurance and helping them feel safe at home.

Key Tasks

• Personal care (washing, toileting, dressing for bed)
• Giving medication support and support with mobility
• Preparing light meals, drinks and snacks
• Offering companionship and conversation at the end of the day
• Recording simple care notes after each visit
• Taking clients out into the community for socialising or appointments

Ideal Candidate

Essential:

• A valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement for this role due to the need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
• Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS or be on the update service
• You have the right to work in the UK 

Desirable:

• Level 4 English and IT literate
• A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference
• Resilient, reliable, proactive with a can-do attitude
• No less than 10 hours a week availability 
• Alternative weekend working
