Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with vessel owners/masters/charterers, trading team and other relevant parties.
  • Understanding of Stowage Plan optimization
  • Bunkering Optimization ensure close collaboration with bunker desk to successfully manage bunker planning
  • Understanding principles of Voyage Profit & Loss
  • Resolve claims with support of the legal team
  • Manage assigned external relations with customers and / or vendors
  • Nurture a positive working relationship with the various stakeholders
  • Support the less experienced team members
  • Contribute to process and practices improvements
  • Support the commercial team

 

Experience:

  • At least 6 years of experience operating bulkers on Time Charter
  • Experience at Sea or with a shipowners would be an advantage

 

Education:

  • University degree in Shipping 

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is a must

 

Soft skills:

  • An interest in and aptitude for people management
  • Customer focused and relationship building with key accounts (Internal Customers and ship owners)
  • Accountability and strong sense of ownership, team play and collaboration.
  • Ability working to tight time constraints
  • Personal drive and the ability to motivate others
  • Innovative, adaptable, flexible
  • Good verbal and written communication
